I'm looking for some 18'' factory wheels in chrome with tires for a 2005 dodge magnum SE. Any ideas?
Factory. Found Photograph

I have a 2005 dodge magnum SE with cover wheels, but instead buying new rims i would like to get some 18'' factory chrome wheels with tires . If anybody have any ideas or where I can get them please let me know.

Thanks,

Wizkid

Check out Ebay for the Factory RWD rims as the AWD version will not fit as it has a higher positive offset from factory +55mm vs +25mm for the RWD versions.

The 18's factory wheels on the 300's & Charger RWD rims will also fit your magnum SE and if you are thinking of 20's the SRT8 rims will also fit your Magnum. Just ensure they have a 5x115mm bolt pattern with +25mm offset as this is the stock configurations on the LX platform wheels for RWD versions.

Other sites you may look at is go to the Dodge Forums or LX forums and check in the FOR SALE section as several owners I have seen sell stock rims as they have upgraded to 20's or 22's on there rides and will sell the stock RT rims for cheap.

Good luck

What is the best way to remove baked on brake dust from painted factory alloy wheels?
2012 will be a year of great upheaval and change...

What is the best way to remove baked on brake dust from painted factory alloy wheels? I am talking about baked brown brake dust. I have used EAGLE ONE wheel cleaner and scrubbed it with a brush, which helped but there has to be something better that will remove it yet not affect the wheels finish.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Brake cleaner, usually used during servicing on brakes to clean all the solid dust of the bits and pieces in there, should work but just test it on an inconspicuous area or the rim to check for any discoloration, it should be fine though

I want new rims for my car. Will they take the tire/tube from my factory wheels, & put them on the new rims?
Venom Vip'

I really dont want to spend an extra 800 bucks on knew rubber. the tires that are on my factory wheels are in good condition. so could a garage take the tire's from my factory rims, and put them on the new custom rims?

As long as the new wheels are the same diameter and not too much wider (or narrower) than your current wheels, that shouldn't be a problem.

If my BMW has standard 16" factory wheels and I put brand new 18" alloys on them will I?
MPH & Top Gear Live 2011

If my BMW has standard 16" factory wheels and I put brand new 18" alloys on them will I have to also change the calipers and disk brakes all round?

I was reading in a book that chav's always make the mistake of putting a fancy body kit and huge wheels but leaving on the tiny factory brakes?

I am not sure if this applies to a BMW, its not the latest one its just a 3 series. But I want to make sure I do it right.

Thanks.

Hi

No, you do not need to change your brakes, there's no need as the callipers, pads and discs you have are not influenced by the size of the wheel.

The only reason you may want to change them is so that they look better, a purely cosmetic reason.

The bottom of the range current 3 Series in Europe is the 316i, it comes with 16 inch wheels, however, the 18 or 19 inch wheels can be specified from new without BMW making any changes to the brakes.
