what difference in distance would there be in using 14 inch wheels and 15 inch wheels on a car.

The answers given are vaguely correct. But the truth is, it really depends on the tires mounted on the rims. The diameter of the 15 in could actually be smaller than the 14. You could calculate the difference in the circumference of the two tires and it would tell you the percentage of gain or loss in distance traveled. Have you ever watched the wheels of a car or a prop plane as it starts up? They travel clockwise at first, and then seem to reverse after a while. Is it an optical illusion with the RPMs?
This happens in reality, too. Get on the highway and watch the wheels. Be safe.

I'd like to have some car wheels powder coated white - how much would it cost for all 4?

i own a shop and most shops that are equipped to do this now charge about 60 bucks a piece for this,but it last real good, i did my Nissan wheels in it last year and they look like they just came out of the oven,but there's not many places that can do this yet, its catching on ,more and more each day,but it will take some time for all the shops to start doing this,good luck i hope this helps.

I've noticed this on many TV shows, films and adverts- it always looks as if the wheels are spinning backwards as the car drives forward at speed- why is this?

Hi there.
What you are seeing is a well known optical illusion that only occurs at certain speeds (in real life too, it is just easier to see on film - try it with a spinning top). As a wheel spins faster, it gets too fast for the eye to focus on - with persistence of vision (which is where the brain stores what it has already seen and builds on top of that base image) any spot on the wheel will appear first to stop still and then with an increase of speed will appear to go backwards.

Simply put, the spot on the wheel you are attempting to focus on will not quite reach the same position in the time it takes your eye to notice it has moved - so it appears to go backwards.

One of the wheels on my car does not turn. The car can go forwards, just not backwards (reverse). If someone damaged my car on purpose, what kind of damage could they do to cause my problem? All of the other wheels turn fine.

I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. It worked fine yesterday and my problem arose randomly this afternoon.

Very common your car needs rear brakes one of the brake shoes fell apart and when you back up the part that broke off gets jammed between the drum and brake shoe.Recamend replacement of both rear shoes/hardware and drums for proper working rear brakes.AND FOR SAFETY.
