17 Wheels

I am trying to buy 2006 mazda3 17 inch wheels and put them on my 2003 mazda6, but i am not sure if i can do that with out harming my car.

The mazda3 17 inch wheels i am getting:

17x6-1/2, 5 lug, 114mm Indented spoke ends
5x114

The mazda6 17 inch alloy wheel specifications:

17 x 7, with 5 lug on 114 mm Indented spoke ends
5x114.


I can see that all the numbers match except for 17X7 (for mazda6) and 17X6.5 (for mazda 3).

Does this mean i cannot put mazda 3 17 inch wheels on my mazda6?

By the way my mazda6 right now has the steel wheels with hub caps and they are either 15 inch or 16 inch wheels.

Since i am going higher on the rim size a bit, does it hurt my suspensions?

I AM SORRY, RIGHT NOW I HAVE 16 INCH WHEELS ON MY CAR AND I AM TRYING TO PUT THE 17 INCH WITH P205/50R17 TIRES. rIGHT NOW I HAVE P205/60R16.

LOOKS LIKE MY TIRE WILL BE A BIT BIG BUT LOW PROFILE, IS THIS GOOD FOR MY CAR.

The wheels will fit, the P205/50R17 88V Mazda 3 tires are not a good idea however. They are too small in diameter and have a much lower load carrying capacity than the P215/50R17 93V tires a Mazda 6 should have.

how important is having 17 wheels on the vibe, sits a lttle higher, higher gas mileage, would it handle better? kananc

I have an 05 toyota tacoma with 17 inch wheels if that helps. I have a 3 inch lift and want to put the biggest tires possible without buying new wheels

go to tirerack.com and see if there are aftermarket sizes you are able to put on your wheels. You have to make sure they clear the wheel well, especially in the front where the wheels will be turning left and right.

I have a 2006 BMW 325i with the stock 16" aluminum wheels. Is it possible for me to put 17" wheels and tires in the well, or will that mess something up? I'm hoping to install some new chrome wheels, but I don't know if that'll be a problem. Can somebody please help me with this please? Thank you!

Yes, you can install 17 inch wheels on your 325i provided the wheels are Bona-fied BMW hub centering wheels with the correct width and offset. If you have the wheels available, it would be very wise to mount the new wheels as a trial on both the front and rear of your car to be sure there is adequate clearance for the tire, steering arms, and fender lip, especially in the front.

I know the Cherokee has specific offset that destinquishes it from another wheel of that bolt pattern. I also believe different year model Wranglers have different wheels.
