Spark Plug Replacement

I recently replaced the spark plugs on my 1995 Honda Accord along with a general check up and transmission flush.

Immediately (after the service) I now have a discomforting engine trembling situation. It seems to go away at higher speeds but is quite bad during idling. This was not there prior to the service

Can anyone suggest why this may happen?

It sounds like you may have a plug wire crossed or a bad plug. Check your spark to all your plugs and make sure that you have the wires connected to the right plugs. You may need a diagram to do that but if you have one out of the proper firing order it will do that.

I have a 2001 chevy malibu (v6) and it has those 100,000 platinum tipped plugs. I was having an engine misfire, i took the car to my chevy dealer turned out a plug needed replacement. All was good a for few weeks now the engine its running rough again.. the other day after it rained really bad the plugs barely fired. Think the rest of the plugs need replacing? I just had my intake gasket replaced and intake and MAP sensors done before they figured out it was the plug (i have an extended warranty so it didn't cost me but 75 bucks)
i have had an incredible ride for 6 years in this chevy, its a quick little sucker, surprises alot of people, it 's actually more like driving a small 8 to be honest. she's just getting older now and needs some loving maint. so the guy thats bad mouthing my car can.. kiss off
GM new the intake gasket was faulty on lots of its models, ya can read about it all over the internet on GM and car sites are that time so they paid for the gasket replacement

They didn't really just replace one spark plug did they? That is just plain stupid. If one needs replacing you always replace them all, whether they are platinum, iridium, or standard. Even if they say 100,000 mile plug life, that is pushing it, especially if you have had any bad gas at any time, or incompatible fuel additives. Some fuel additives contain octane boosters that leave conductive deposits on the core nose.
If this happened after a bad rain, you may need new plug wires. They could be arcing to ground, which gets worse with moisture.

I need to know how to change the spark plugs on a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier for my girlfriend. I was hoping someone could provide some sort of photo or diagram for how to access and repair and properly gap the spark plugs for this model of car. We're getting ready to make a cross country trip in this car, unfortunately, and I would like to do some minor repairs before we head out. However, I've never worked on a Cavalier, so any help is appreciated.

You'll need a 3/8 drive 5/8 deep-well magnetic socket from Auto Zone and a couple of 3/8 short extensions. Plan on replacing the spark plug wires if they've never been done also. Pick up AC-Delco wires and plugs from your local Chevrolet dealer. Twist the spark plug boots clockwise and counter clockwise before attempting to pull them off. When installing new spark plug wires wipe on some silicone ignition grease inside both boots on each wire.

Spark plug gap should be .060 for the following brands and part # plugs for that car: NGK - N67164 or AC-Delco AC41-942.

I WANT TO CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS,AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT PROCEDURES AND STEPS NEED TO BE DONE.OR IS THERE A WEBSITE THAT WILL SHOW STEP BY STEP PICTURES.AND DOES THE MANIFOLD AND THROTTLE BODY NEED TO BE REMOVED FOR PLUG ACCSSES,IFSO WILL ANY GASKETS NEED REPLACEMENT.

replacing spark plugs are easy.

theres lots of videos in youtube for spark plug replacement, go search it. If you have the basic tools.

be sure get the right spark plug. just match the code form the old spark lug.
