Oil Spark Plug

I need to change the oil and spark plug myself a my 2000 SeaDoo. Can anyone help?

No need to change the oil. It's a two stroke engine!

You are supposed to keep the oil tank full with two-stroke oil and it mixes with the gas to and lubricates the engine. There is no oil pan full of oil as on a car.

To change the plugs, (there are two) twist and puul the wires off. Use a suitable socket, or an adjustable wrench will work, remove the old plugs and replace with new. Use NGK BR8-ES plugs.

I am replacing my valve cover gasket and want to know the best way to remove any oil from the spark plug well.

Sounds like you are working on a multiple valve 4 cylinder. A little more information would be NICE!!! Start by power washing your entire engine with GUNK orange at a do-it-yourself car wash. Also, buy a can of regular oven cleaner and a can of spray Gum-out. WHen you remove the valve cover, get to a car wash with it. Use the oven cleaner to remove ALL the sludge from the back of the cover, then wash with power washer to remove goo and excess oven cleaner. It will clean the "spark plug" tubes, as well. Use the Gum-out to spray any difficult areas. Allow things to dry. If you really want to do a GREAT job on this project, find a local Amzoil distributor. Buy a can of their Foaming Spray Engine Cleaner. It contains a special chemical called butyl cello-solve. When sprayed on your overhead cams, it will dissolve all the offending sludge time and poor oil has left on your cylinder head. It literally foams things clean, and returns them to factory newness. Sometimes, you need to help with an old toothbrush. The results will be VERY rewarding. All the overspray will drip down the oil return holes (in the head) and continue cleaning. After you install the new VCG, drive the car gently for about 1/2 hour. The foaming action of the Amzoil will now have cleaned out your hydraulic lifters, oil galleries, oil pressure relief valve, and other engine vitals. Drain the oil, now, and swear off regular oils FOREVER!!!! Refill with Mobil One 0W or ELF oil. These miracle lubricants will continue to clean things as you drive, restoring lost power, improving MPG's, and lowering emissions. It is a win, win ,win situation. THese oils only need changing once a year or so and will NOT create sludge or cause engine seals (or valve covers) to leak again!!! Good Luck!!!! E-mail me back with your results!

the bike is a 2007 DT175 yamaha.using yamalube 2stroke oil
the spark plug only lasts a few hundred kilometes before coking up.

If the bike is a pre-mix 2 stroke, i.e. you mix the oil and fuel before you put it in the tank. Make sure you are running the proper ratio. Too much oil will cause the plug to foul fast.

We have a Murray Quantum 4.5 horsepower 20" lawnmower and it hasn't been used in a while. It needs a new spark plug and oil.
What types would be appropriate for this lawnmower?
