Nology spark plug wires...?

Hi. By several ways I have tried to find Nology spark plug wires for a Chevrolet Aveo 2007 (1.6). I did find an eBay auction for a set of used nology wires, but an adaptation (insulated tip caps needs to be adapeted )needs to become. The answer is: spark plug wires can be fixed or adapted? Thank you.

Its hard to fix spark pulg wires. Best to just buy new ones.

Here's a list of places you can get the nology wires: http://www.nology.com/usa.html

What's the best brand of spark plug wire?

I had some Nology wires on my civic but I've had so many problems with them i would never buy Nology again. What do you think the best brand wires are.

Also, feel free to hate on Nology with me : )

I recommend OEM wires, or if you're looking for something "high performance" MSD makes good products.

What are the best performing brand of Spark plugs, and spark plug wires?

im often told that nology hotwires are the best, is that true?

high performance wires are expensive.
mostly your paying for the name.
so long as the spark plug wires
are able to carry the necessary voltage,
from the distibutor to the plugs,
then any set of decent spark plug wires
will do.
if the motor is japanese,
stick with NGK spark plugs.

Nology Universal Hotwires Performance Spark Plug Wires - Red Standard Coil 012052011

civic spark plug wires?

i know my spark plug wires are going bad on my civic and sadly to say i just dont have to time right now to spend the time to look up which wires are the best i already know alot about civic and i dont feel like paying 150 for a pair of nology hot wires which are pretty damn awesome so if you could tell me which would be the best wires for me to get your would be a big help thanks.

The next best in quality and performance are Magnacore.

Best spark plug wires for my 99 Civic EX? And do brand names make a difference in performance?

I just replaced the plugs with NGK platinum plugs, but now I need to buy some new spark plug wires as well. There are so many different brands that I'm not sure what brand to go with. Does it even make a difference in performance? I did notice the vehichle has a little more pep now after replacing the factory plugs that have been in there for 8 years with the NGK's, but will changing the wires also result in a noticable difference?

If so, what brand is the best? Are those $150 Nology wires really worth the money? Or will it feel just the same with cheaper ones like OBX or NGK? And what about MSD, are they any good?

If all of you ignition system is factory oem, upgrading you wires wont make much of a difference. Thicker wires are made to handle the higher voltage upgraded ignitions produce. You wont notice any difference if your stock wires are ok, but if they are from 99 they probably need to be changed.

Those Nology wires have a built in "capacitor" that stores voltage charge and releases it when it reaches its capacity its supposed to be a higher voltage going to you plugs than a "normal" wire set.

They do make more power but you probably wont notice, they are better due to that fact that they produce a hotter/bigger spark so they will burn the fuel better so you get better gas mileage.

The other brands are just a thicker lest resistive wire so there is less voltage lost during the transfer of voltage from the coil pack to the spark plugs. They will be better then you factory oem wires. I would use NGK (and i do) if you don't want to spend the cash on the Nology's. If you don't care much for the "performace" than any wires will do. Hope this helps.

“CAPACITOR” EFFECT WIRES with grounded metal braiding over jacket

The most notable of exaggerated claims for ignition wires are made by Nology, a recent manufacturer of ignition wires promoted as “the only spark plug wires with built-in capacitor.” Nology’s “HotWires” (called “Plasma Leads” in the UK) consist of unsuppressed solid metal or spiral conductor ignition wires over which braided metal sleeves are partially fitted. The braided metal sleeves are grounded via straps formed from part of the braiding. Insulating covers are fitted over the braided metal sleeves. These wires are well constructed. For whatever reason, Nology specifies that non-resistor spark plugs need to be used with their “HotWires.” In a demonstration, the use of resistor plugs nullifies the visual effect of the brighter spark.

Spark plug and plug wire claims are almost always 100% bogus. The factory ignition system has proven itself adequate time and time again at running 1000+ horsepower builds with very high cylinder pressures, so there is no need for an upgrade to begin with. If there WAS need for an upgrade,it would have to come from the coils or ignition coil driver circuitry itsef; once the coil fires that fixes how much voltage and current you will have available at your plug; the only thing that would change that substantially is if your plug wires or plugs were bad.
