No. It may get a better spark and resist fouling, but it will not add energy to your power cycle, you need to deal with your fuel (fuel type as well) and air mixture, for optimum performance.

Is there a difference in car and boat spark plugs? I was looking at Iridium plugs and for my truck 8 are $50, Same 8 plugs for sale at a boat supply store is $10. It even has the same Delco part #41985...

NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs - The Hull Truth
Has anyone ran the NGK Iridium spark plugs in their Yamaha? Our F-115's call for LFR6AIX,or 6619 part number. Found them on line for $8.00ea, Iridium plugs are suppose to get beter efficiency while adding better throttle response. I courious if they will help reduce the making oil issue by buring more of the left over fuel during the combustion stroke. Our F-115's only make oil after trolling, hard running they have no issues. Dealer says most all fishing boats have this problem while pleasure crafts that run open throttle all the time seem to have less an issue. It's time to change the plugs and wanted some advice.
