Atv Spark Plug

I have a Baja 250 (Honda knock-off) ATV and was having starting issues. Battery is fine, but left the ATV out in the rain. Checked the spark plug and the weird thing is that the top of the plug is missing the little cap. Is this normal? Bought a replacement spark plug but it wouldn't fit back in unless I removed it's little cap. Does this mean that the old cap is still stuck up there?

means it dont need it which in a few case it dont is why is unscrews .. but you can look inside the wires end and see if old one is stuck most likely it dont need it on and is why it unscrews just the type of plug wire you have no big deal

pull the plug out and make sure it's not wet

I bought an oil changing kit for my atv (Polaris sportsman 500) and I took out the old spark plug which said (5E) and I replaced it with a new one that was a little bigger and said (6E) on it..is this ok?
everything fit, but i mean is it ok in terms of safety? is it possible that a fire can start or something like that because its a different size?

Odd that a spark plug would be in an oil change kit. When you say it was bigger. Bigger how? longer? If so it may cause piston damage. Did the dealer supply this or did you just buy it on a hunch with out knowing what you needed? Still not understanding the different size bit. Did you measure it? or are you just making an assumption based on the numbering, which is quite a different matter all together. Was the complete number something like NGKBKR6E?
