Tire Rims

I just cleaned my silver tire rims last week and now they are so filthy dirty. Is there something in my engine or underneath my car causing this?
If it is brake dust why would they get so unusually dirty so quickly? This isn't that normal for them to be like this so quickly. Would the brakes be more worn because of the amount of dirt?

You use the brakes every time you drive don't you? It doesn't take long at all. I can get my wheels very dusty indeed after just a half-dozen autocross runs. That's equivilant to a few days of city driving.

Trust me, it is brake dust. You might try a higher quality pad.

I have 3 tire rims from a Chevy tahoe. I want to list them on ebay, but I don't know which vehicles they will fit. What kinds of cars will these fit?

They will pretty much fit any other 1/2 ton Chevy or GMC truck. The important fact is weather or not its a 2x or 4x. The 2x has 5 bolts and will also fit most of the full size rear wheel drive GM cars stating about in the 70's. The 4x has 6 bolts and fits most 4x4 1/2 ton chevy and GMC trucks. Gm also used that bolt pattern in the 40's on some cars.

I just put in zero's this morning, the tapers I mean, and I have metallic zeros that are hollow inside and kind of look like tire rims, how do I put those in? I just tried in the shower and it hurt and I couldn't do it....

yes doing it in the shower is a good way to do it, but sometimes you have to wait a day or two after you put the taper in to actually put the pluggs in.

I wish it would work faster too, trust me.

I am searching online, for bikes, with the super slim tires, as they are very fast.
But what are these called?
I thought these are called "road bikes", but when I search for road bikes, I see bikes with normal sized tires and tire rim.

Yes, road bikes have the slimmest tires. They should have 700c x 23 tires, which is the standard size these days. There's no point in going any slimmer.

A little mud or gravel isn't going to hurt. If you were going to encounter more gravel roads, I would try 700c x 25 tires, which fit on most road bikes as well. The stability of the bike depends on a lot of factors, including handling due to the geometry of the bike. Road bikes can be pretty versatile- most companies have models that are designed to be more stable for longer, rougher rides.

i need to know how to properly adjust my 10 speed bycycle hand brakes which activate against the tire rim. when the brake is not being used one brake shoe tends torub the medat wheek rim how do i correct this brake problem?
