Enhancing Vehicle With Custom Rims And Custom Car Accessories ...

To most owners, cars are like a favourite toy or a girlfriend and they tend to provide the most lavish attention to these machines, sometimes in preference over their closest relatives! It therefore becomes quite natural to see really jazzed up vehicles parked in driveways and the owner doing the most meticulous and doting cleaning job you can think of. To cater to these diehard enthusiasts, there are a host of custom car accessories available in the market to enhance the looks of any type of car truck or lorry / rig.

While external accessories enhance the looks of the vehicle, there are a number of not so visible options to accessorise the engine, suspension, lighting system, etc that really impacts the performance levels of cars. These are discussed below: • General Styling – on the outside could include chrome trimming on the grills, door handles, windshield wipers, wing mirrors, decals on the side of the vehicle as well as on the bonnet and the boot. Tinted windows, shockingly bright fluorescent hues, two-tone colours or even a full rainbow coloured paint job are sights that come to mind. Extra mirrors – normal or outsized ones are fancied as also stretching the body to almost impossible lengths. While the wheels itself can be of steel, there are numerous designs for the more efficient aluminium alloy wheels that are lighter in weight and help the vehicle deliver better performance. Chrome trimmings on the wheels are another option. • Lighting – there can be variations in the headlamps supplied as original equipment and the light bulbs themselves can be changed to halogen ones (if not already provided). Miniature and accessories bulbs, blue lights on the under chassis, fog lights, rear and reversing lights, parking lights, spotlights … all these are available as custom car accessories. • Performance – other than what is provided with the original vehicle, the enthusiast can get new, customised engine components, including cylinders, valves, lowering springs, electronic shock absorbers and other suspension parts that greatly impact the handling of the vehicle. Transmission and drive train parts can also be customised if the car or truck has been stretched or modified in other ways. Customising air intake components and exhaust equipment are another set of options.
