Automotive Rims

Been in shop seen two silver paints from same maker one for general automotive other is for rims, and cost slightly more, whats the difference between them?

I can't say for sure that there is a difference. My best friend is a body man and painter, and I must say, a very good one. I have seen him paint wheels with regular car paint before. It holds up just fine, and looks great.

Besides that, He has painted engines before installing them with standard automotive paint and it does not burn off, peel or discolor, and it lasts longer than high heat engine paint.

If you are referring to spray paint from an aerosol can, there is a difference. Wheel paint is supposed to be more resistant to chemicals such as wheel cleaners, and hold up to heat from the brakes better than regular paint.

I think you measure from 2 holes while skipping hole, say like from hole #1 to hole #3. The reading in inches can help you select wheels. Not sure on this

Ok I have a 1994 Ford Explorer 2 WD and I am giving it a makeover. So I would like to know what are the best 22" rims and tires that would be a good fit for this type of SUV? my friend has some black 22" rims and tires for sale that jsut came off his Ford Mustang and Im not a automotive genius but would I need different tires and rims or it wouldnt matter?
Im doing black rims because of the type of look im going for

Put 295/40/22 in your SUV and it will be a standout. I suggest chrome finish not the black rims. Hope this helps!

What Rim Brand I should go with, I am trying to pick out some really nice crome rims that are $1,200 dollers around that im thinking, oh yeah all crome and 22' wide ..... ?
