We are shopping around for home owners & car insurance. Travelers is coming in cheaper & with more coverage than other places. I have not heard of them before (which doesn't mean anything) but Wiki has a lot of good things to say about their company. Curious on personal experiences & recommendations!
I have had Traveler's for home, auto and business for in excess of twenty years. The ultimate measurement of an insurance company is how well they pay their claims. We have filed claims for damages to our home and one complete total loss on an automobile. They were fast, advanced funds, stood behind the repairs. They created no problems, just solutions. I periodically compare rates with companies like State Farm. State Farm can't come close. Be sure to combine all coverages with them for even greater savings

My accident was a week ago today and I still have no answers and more importantly no car. There is a question with the rental agreement with the driver of the car and the person that rented the car. The rental car company is Hertz and there insurance company is Traveler's. What can I do to be compensated for this run-around and huge hassle?
You need to file this claim with your policy. Travelers has no duty of good faith towards you. If the person driving wasn't the named insured on the policy (if they were only a listed operator), then the Travelers policy won't carry over onto the rental, anyway.
Then you have to sue that driver in court to be compensated.
So take care of your car on your own, because the lawsuit thing can take months and months to happen. Oh, and if you do this through YOUR insurance, if you have collision coverage, your insurance company will chase the money down for you. If they can.
I was driving down the road and out of the corner of my eye I see a tire rolling down a hill. I slammed on my breaks, but the tire still hit my car. Three teenagers were playing on top of the hill and the tire got away from them. I do not want to call my insurance company if my premiums will go up because of this. Anyone have the answer? My insurance company is Travelers. Thank you
You were not at fault in this accident, so your rates may not go up. It really depends on the insurance company and your history with them.
My boyfriend got into an accident 2 weeks ago. Basically it was a 5-car pileup. The two cars in front of my boyfriend left the scene because they had no damage. The lady (Lexus driver and Allstate insurance carrier) who actually hit a Toyota Corolla (Traveler's Insurance carrier), which in turn hit my boyfriend's Ford Escort is not returning phone calls and did not give a statement to Allstate. She did give a statement to the Corolla's insurance company but basically claimed that the Corolla hit the Escort then hit her Lexus, which makes no sense because the Corolla didn't back up!
He got estimates on his bumper from the Allstate and Travelers insurance companies which came back between $1100-$1600. He just wants to do a cash in lieu and get it fixed by a friend of his. Is it possible for him to just go after the Corolla's insurance company or does he have to continue to wait for the Allstate's policy holder to respond back to Allstate?!
Note: the Allstate driver has not given a verbal statement to Allstate nor Traveler's Insurance. That is the problem he is having. Allstate has since sent a letter to their person saying that they will drop her from Allstate if she does not give a statement. What will happen if she does not respond to Allstate is dropped!?!
He files a claim with the insurance for the car that caused the accident.
If the Corolla was stopped behind him and hit him because the Allstate car hit it and pushed it into him....then he files against the Allstate car. The Corolla's insurance will deny him.
Or....the easy way....file under his own collision coverage (if he has it). His company will pay for the damage to his car less his deductible and then pursue the at fault company for re-payment. Once they recover, they will forward his deductible onto him.
I am comparing prices for car insurance. I have had State Farm forever. After talking to them and asking them what I should look for when shopping for car insurance is a policy that wont cancel you or raise rates if you have an accident. We have made claims in the past (storm damage and I hit a tree stump - no actual vehicle to vehicle accidents) and our rates have not gone up. Do other companies do the same? What about Traveler's Auto Insurance?
this one will not cancel policy/raise rates if there is an accident http://finance.ebookorama.com/ukusa-sele cted-resources.php get a quote now it's free
