In Texas the minimum requirements for liability are 25/50/25. This insurance will cost you about $25 a month.

Texas is a no fault state. The best option is to get a basic liability policy and add uninsured and under-insured motorist. In Texas it is estimated 32% of vehicles have NO insurance coverage. (YIKES)
For 4 months of coverage it should cost $149. Not a lot of money for the piece of mind and protection you will get.
