Progressive Car Insurance

I have progressive insurance and recently got into an accident. It was my fault, thankfully everyone was okay. Anyway I was wondering how anyone's claim process went. The progressive agent handeling my claim is nice and she called me the day i filed the claim, she asked me where I was going to get my car fixed and I told her. She said that the place I was getting it fixed was on their list of reapir shops and called them on three way to set up an appointment. What I want to know is , will they write a check to me or the repair shop? How did it work with you?

Being a former Progressive adjuster I can tell you that the check will be made out to the body shop since it is also their network shop.
The repairs will be guaranteed for the lifetime that you own the vehicle. A network adjuster from Progressive will keep you updated on the repairs on a frequent basis. The adjuster will also review the estimate with you and explain the repair process (duration of repairs, parts to be used - used, aftermarket, or oem)
If you have rental coverage you can receive a rental for 30 days (depending on your policy coverage).

Progressive Car Insurance

I am purchasing a new car and for the first time car insurance. I've been shopping around online and Progressive Direct has the best rates for me. I also looked at getting Progressive through an insurance group in my area, which would cost $30 more per month for the same amount of coverage. Would it be worth the extra $30 per month to get the insurance through an insurance agency in my area?

Have you had any good or bad experiences with Progressive Direct car insurance?

I work for a law firm and deal with insurance companies constantly. Progressive is one of the best at handling claims, god forbid something did happen to you. As far as the difference in price, that $30 is only to pay that agent. If the coverage is the same, you're getting the same. No, but i did work for them.

Simple...

1) you can either take your car to their service center or repair shop and they will take care of everything and youw ill have 100% guarentee on the repairs

OR

2) They will do an estimate on your vehicle.. and you will take that estimate to wherever you want your repairs done. As long as the body shop is reasonable- they will work out any supplements directly with the shop. If you dont want to repair your vehicle.. you can just keep the check and thats that.

I highly recommend if you do want repairs - using one of their shops- youll have a guarantee on the repairs.. PLUS.. you dont risk your rental being cut off (if your shop takes too long.. they wont keep paying for rental- they only owe reasonable rental)

Any idea where I can find this info? Any estimates?

I've used to be with Progressive Insurance on my Dad's policy. That was years ago, I was driving a 99 Saturn SC 2-Door which for the beginning my 6-month premium was around $684. It's considered a Sports car, so it going to be considerably high, and her age doesn't really help alot.

Be careful, make sure that she knows the way of a driver, if ( hopefully not ) she wrecks, watch the premium for you and her sky rocket. Also if she has good grades, she may be available to get a Good Student Discount. Which could save you some $$$.

Just do a quote from www.progressive.com. I use ESurance for all my needs :D.
