Im 17, learning to drive and need as cheap car insurance as possible. Ideally i'd like any of the cars above, though if there are others that are similar and have really cheap insurance, i'd be grateful to know

It depends on your gender, age, level of cover (third party or comprehensive) any modifications, how many miles you do and even your postcode.
Insurance for my peugeot 106 1.1 1997 was just over £1000. (third party fire and theft cover) Im a 17 year old guy and apparantly where i live (in the south) car insurance is a bit more expensive.

hi, im 18 and had my license under a year, i cant find any website which will just tell me a price without having to sign up for stuff

The car is convertible and most insurers are quoting around $1600 is this about right? It seems alot for a hard top?

If you don't tell them then it isn't just the modifications that aren't covered in the event of an accident - the whole policy would be void: you don't get your car repaired, you are personally responsible for all 3rd party damages including personal injuries, and there can be an issue with driving uninsured! Also, imagine what future premiums would cost. You have to tell them and pay the price of the additional premiums. Ask for a quote before you do the modifications.
