Hot Hatch Car Insurance

Answers

Im thinking of buying a new car. It must be a petrol, and not have high insurance it also must be A hot hatch?

Ive got 15 grand to spend (i inherited it)
Please no american cars cos there useless

A bit of a contradiction in terms there I'm afraid.

If it has to be a hot hatch, it will have higher insurance than a normal hatch.

At £15,995 you could probably haggle down to your price on a Renaultsport Clio 197. 197 bhp, 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, 134mph top end, insurance group 15E.

Also at £15,595 is the Vauxhall Corsa VXR. 189 bhp, 0-60 in 6.8 sec, 140mph top end, don't know insurance (probably the same-ish).

Or save yourself a couple of quid and look at the Fiat Panda 100hp. List price of £10,000, but deals have been done as low as 8 and a bit grand. Only 100bhp, 0-60 in 9.3, tops out at 115mph. But it's only group 5 insurance, and all the motoring magazines rate it as a lot of fun to drive.

Take a few test drives, do some more research.

Let us know what you decide to look at.

can adrianflux car insurance really get you a good deal?

found out about this really competetive car insurance they claim to insure young drivers on real low premiums even young drivers driving sport coupes and hot hatches at low premiums too unfortunalatly unable to get quote as yet and am skeptical has anyone actually had a really good quote from them? is so how much?

There are lots of insurance scammers out there. I am not saying these ones are but you should always check with your state's insurance department to see if who you choose to go with are licensed to do business.
Not knowing your state, here's all of them http://www.google.com/search?q=state%20i nsurance%20department&spell=1&ie =UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search& amp;aq=f&oq=
and here's some LEGIT insurance carriers tthat promise cheap quotes:

and

Car Insurance Technicalities?

I am considering buying a "hot hatch" (eg clio 187, civic type r etc), and obviously i have been getting quotes for them. I'm 23, 5yeards no claims, 3 points for speeding (which expire this christmas) and no other offences/claims.
The average quote for any of the above is around £1200 per year fully comp at my address in DE14, but if i quote it at my girlfriends house in LE12, it goes down to £600.
Is it illegal to insure the car at a different address? Because technically the car still has insurance. If so, If i register the car to the girlfriends house as well, does this get around this problem, thus making it legal???
Please help!

If you want to save that £600 just insure it at your girlfriends address and change the address on your V5. As long as your V5 and insurance certificate match, legally, you'll be fine. Also, try naming her on your policy as a common law partner, even if she isn't, as insurers like the thought that you're "settled" and "mature"

I am looking for an old "HOT-HATCH" For around about £1250 (insurance cost is not a problem of mine)

Which second hand cars would you recommend for this kind of cash. Thank you kindly.

I think the mark 1 Golf GTI 1800 was a terrific car. Early mark 2's had the same engine system and are also worth considering. With later models, they changed the injection system and added power steering and I never liked them as much.

I am looking for a second hand "HOT-HATCH" for around about £1250 (not worried about insurance cost)

Which cars in this price range do you recomend. Thanks

Citroën thinks a 60+ mpg, sub-£11000 diesel hot hatch is ...

Ok, you've got a small, fuel-efficient (more than 60 mpg Imperial) hatchback. It's not a high-performance sports car, but it will get you to 62 mph in under 10 seconds. If you're under 25, you get a free year of insurance on the sucker. It costs £13,400, but for a limited time, the price after cash back offers is £10,995. Do you buy? That's the question Citroën hopes people answer in the affirmative with the introduction of the 110hp C2 1.6HDi VTS. This sports hatch is the first diesel supermini with the VTS label. I'm not all that enamored with the looks of this C2, but 64 mpg makes any car look better. Also, CO2 emissions barely break through that important 120 barrier at 119g/km....
