Collector car insurance is generally for high value, low mileage vehicles. Antique auto coverage is for vehicles over 25 years old, and have very low mileage. Some carriers will require that the vehicle be titled as an Antique with special license plates. Both policies are much lower premiums than a standard personal auto policy. Call your local independent agent, they should have access to carrier for you.

Try Hagerty.com Great rates but you need to be careful about the mileage that you put on in a year. It is usually limited to 2500 and the car has to be kept in a locked garage and you have to have another personal auto policy for your other vehicle.
I am considering using Grundy Insurance for a collector car, but I do not know anything about them (besides their published info online and on tv). Does anyone have any personal experience with Grundy Car Insurance? Would you recommend them? Ever have any issues with them? Any PROs/CONs?

Is there any way to get full coverage on a collector car for one day? I want to drive my family's 66 mustang on the last day of school but I am too young to be covered under the collector car policy.
Call your insurance broker, but odds are if you are too young to be put on policy, they won't be able to insure you for one day!!!!
its been a year and they are saying that if they dont see the money they will go after the house
since it has been a year, i am guessing that they repossess your car and then sold at auction for a $15K loss. they have a right to collect that.
but they cannot go after your house to collect. what they will do is most likely get a judgment and file a lien on the house. so when you sell the house, they will attach the $15K on any profit if any to them 1st before you see a dime.
they are hoping that you will either try and get a loan or have a family member bail you out. but most likely you probably cannot get a loan even for say $2K.
you can call a lawyer and get your legal rights. most may give you 1 free consult to see if you want to hire or not.
