is classic car insurance better for a 1984 corvette or regular car insurance?
Phoning for Classic Insurance

im planning on getting a 1984 corvette but the insurance for it is a little too high.i just found out about classic car insurance but i really don't know much about it.but for classic car insurance,am i limited to a certain number of things like how far i can drive my car, when i can drive, etc?will the insurance actually be less or more for classic car insurance?and what is the best classic car insurance company i should go with?

I would go with the Classic Car Insurance because other wise you might not get as much as you want for your car if it is ever totaled or stolen. I know some classic car insurance is stated amount & regular insurance is ACV (Actual Cash Value)

Where is a good place to get classic car insurance that will let me commute - not only use the car for shows?
Insurance Ads

Most insurance that I'm looking into for classic cars are not willing to insure your car if you commute to work and school. They only want to insure cars that are used in shows, parades, etc. I will not drive my car every single day to work...maybe a few times during the week. I bought the car to enjoy it, not let it sit in the garage!

I would suggest that you have your car appraised and then insure it on a stated value policy through a mainstream insurance company. Ask your insurance agent about stated value policies to see of they have them available.

where ti find classic car insurance in CA?
Car From The Sixties

i recently bought a 1966 plymouth valiant....it is definitely not fixed up or anything like that it is just your basic old car that is in need of some help...but it runs and drives and will be my daily driver...so i need to find insurance for it......but most insurance companies only go as old as 81 .....anyone know any classic car insurance companies for currently un-restored cars?

Nice car! I'm going to be telling my age but that was my first car. No joke.

I know of one company in California that will insure un-restored classic cars. Last time I checked liability was very cheap. (around $25/$35 a month)

Just be sure to tell the agent the vehicle is not restored.

Good Luck. I listed there website below.

Classic Car Insurance Coverage for the Classic Car Enthusiast ...

So you’ve just finished refurbishing that classic car you’ve had in your garage for the past ten years. You can’t wait to take it out on the road for a spin and show it off. You may even have plans to display it in a classic car show. You definitely want to protect your classic while it’s both out on the road and being stored. Protecting your prized classic auto with a classic car insurance policy is the best way to guarantee that should something happen, you and your classic will be well taken care of.

Most insurance companies offer specialized car insurance policies for classic cars. The reason for this is that classic cars are often valued at a higher cost than most common vehicles on the road today because they are so rare and cannot be purchased at just any car dealership in town, or repaired at just any body shop.
