Car Insurance Rate Toronto

Answers

How much is the avg car insurance for a 17 year old living in Toronto?

that's with driving school under my belt and having an average over 70% in school (cause apparently that cuts your rates)

i dont need an exact number cause everyone is diff, and i don't need a link to one of those things taht calculate it for you cause i don't have the patience lol.

$1,400 - $1,800 (can) Per Annum Should Be Good For Starters

Tell The Insurers that you will Limit Your Mileage to 5000mls for the
First Year and it should be cheaper as their Risk is Smaller !
GUD LUCK !

Does anyone know of a website that provides comparitive Car Insurance rates by Car and / or model?

I live in Toronto. I am thinking of picking up a new car or a 1 year old car shortly as my current car's lease is up and I do not want to renew or buy out.
However, I want a quick and easy means at knowing the relative Car Insurance Rates (approximates, of course) for the cars I am considering, as I am considering a number of vehicles in the Lower-luxury sedan class (i.e BMW 3-series, Audi A4, Infiniti G35, Volvo S40, Acura TL, etc). Does anyone know of such a website for the North American marketplace?
I do understand that one's driving record etc will impact the cost, but it would impact the cost as the same factor of any car insurance.
I can't imagine that different insurers really would differ that much for a certain type of car - their calculations must be based on something other than just their own experience; something like industry standard information such as theft of car type, etc.
Thus, when comparing an Audi A4 versus a BMW 325, one must be more expensive to insure than another generally.
This is what I am after. What cars are expensive to insure? What cars are moderate to insure? What cars are cheaper to insure?

This information must be somewhere and I can't be the only one to want to know this information without having to fill out a quote sheet each time.
To the first two responses: Much thanks to both of you! I know this is a tough question, and both of you state excellent points!
Indeed, there are lots of places to get an online quote, but most of them require you to submit your name, e-mail, phone number etc.... thus, creating a contact list for them to follow up on... Personally, I want to find this information without having to deal with a lot of e-mails and phone calls asking me to switch insurance companies etc. Know what I mean? ;-)

It doesn't take much thinking to realize that a Lamborghini Countach on a fully comprehensive insurance is going to be a very expensive insurance and
a little Fiat 126 on a liability only insurance is going to be one of the cheapest cars you can get.

So, with that formula and a bit of common sense you can work out everything in between.

And, yeah, insurers are all different and each have their own calculation methods which usually reflects their OWN paying out experiences, *regardless* of what statistics tell them.

You can't trust statistical data more than the data you KNOW to be 100% true, if you did that you'd just go bankrupt and you'd stop being an insurer.

It is my belief that an Audi A4 and a BMW 325 will cost you roughly the same to insure, don't ask me how I know call it 6th sense.

The night before my talk, a small group of faculty and students joined me for dinner. (Since we were in Maine, fresh lobster was on the menu.) It was a great way to get acclimated and gave me a chance to hear about the creative ways that Bates is putting sustainability into action — from free-use bikes, to a car-share program, to an agreement with neighboring farms to take their food waste. As you’ll see in my visual essay below, it also provided added inspiration for me!

So how does this relate to climate change?

Brainstorming is great fun. Immediately when Kirk told me about Frozen Grand Central, I could see the opportunity to use this dramatic “Frozen” act (just a variation on the frozen tag we played as kids) for a Flash mob 350 demonstration on October 24th. And I thought the Bates students would enjoy hearing about it… Now I don’t know if anyone will use the idea — but if you do — please let me know!
