Car Insurance On Line

If you have never done it don't ever be tempted to try.
It's an experience that never leaves you, you will become an embittered wreck.
Even in days of old they never devised a form of torture more cruel.

Because car insurance is a very complicated product (oh yes it is)

Because insurers need lots of information to provide accurate quotes (show me an aggregator website and I'll show you a company providing misleading quotations)

People buy insurance online because - hey it's new let's try it! and forget that you buy a policy one day and you have 364 other days when you might have to make use of it - but they forget that buying online loses the personal touch - and that many online/ direct providers now have staff who know nothing about insurance principals - just how to sell.

Booking flights online, banking online, even shopping -- it's all online! So one question...Why aren't you doing your car insurance online ...

I just took a car insurance policy with Liverpool Victoria and reading these occupations, starting to wonder whether I should be regretting it. They don't have my occupation (author), or my girlfriend's (waitress), but have kissogram person, children's entertainer, hawker (???), and many other strange ones... thoughts please? You need to view the list of occupations about halfway down the "About You" section. Have fun. I hope it lets me paste this long link here:

If your insurer has this....it could be pretty easy.

Take a look at your billing statement. It should have an on-line website link for you to use. Mine does.

Verb? I assume you mean CAN you pay Allstate online? Most insurance companies don't do that, because you have to pay via credit card. And mastercard/visa CHARGE the person taking the payment 3%. And it's illegal to add the mastercard fees to the buyer's charge, so, unless they want to discount your premium 3% (which they don't) you'll have to pay in person to an allstate agent, or mail your payment in.
