Ive been looking for how much car insurance is in ny if your 17 but i cant find it. My mom doesnt want to pay for it so i have to pay for it myself. Can someone tell me how much it costs?

Nope, someone can't tell you.

Because it depends on the vehicle, how many miles you drive, your record, and what insurance company you go through.

Too many variables to just give you a number and say that's how much you'll pay.

If you are going to be driving the vehicle around, you need the insurance. You probably already have only liability coverage given the year of the vehicle. Keep it. Especially, in NY where(I am sorry), people are very litigious.

Yes, you should be covered if you are carrying liability insurance coverage at the time you hit the said house. The question here is how much in total dollar figures are the damages to the house worth? New York has the 25/50/10 rule; the last figure means your liability insurance should at least carry $10,000 that covers for any property damage you cause. Hopefully you're carrying more than that, especially if the total damages exceed that $10K minimum limit. You should check with your insurer right away.

Also it's just worth mentioning that since you only have liability insurance you'll probably have to shoulder the costs of any damages or needed repairs on your vehicle. Comprehensive insurance usually takes care of that, but you might know that already. :-)

Depends on where in NY you are living. Insurance is considerably cheaper in Albany than it is in NYC

Insurance for a 21 year old male driving a new Honda Accord in Manhattan with a clean driving record would cost you around 4k a year. That same insurance in Albany or Syracuse would cost you less than half as much
