CA is probably the only state that regulates insurance rating practices the best. CA does not allow an insurance company to run your credit and base your rates off your insurance score, CA does not allow an insurance company to base your rates off your zip code. In CA they are only allowed to factor age, driving record, vehicle, prior claims, whether you've had ongoing insurance. The discounts you are allowed are much more generous than anywhere else I've found as well. In AZ rates are determined very differently.
I would suggest either staying with your current carrier or searching elsewhere, like AAA, State Farm, Farmers, Allstate. Pick the company that provides coverage based on your needs, as each will cover things very differently.

You will lower your auto insurance premium if you have an excellent credit rating. Folks who have poor credit pay more expensive premiums for every form of insurance and that includes auto insurance. There are many reasons for this but this one ranks high among them: If you have a bad credit history then it could only mean you’ve missed payments at some points. The truth is that they believe that the probability of you missing payments of your premiums is very high. This assumption of high risk makes such individuals attract higher rates in car insurance and other insurance policies.

My name is Joey and I live Arizona with my old friend. Though I was given a full relocation allowance by my company, my friend still offered to pay half of the rent. I was able to save a little from my allowance so that helped me to save up in order to buy a new car and its Arizona car insurance. I just hope I could get it cheap, though. Help me, please! Thank you. Do you want to make it even cheaper? Buy locks for your gear or steering wheel lock. There is also this tire lock that looks funny by the way, but it can really protect you from car thieves. You can also brag about your club memberships and how active you are on their good mission. It might qualify you to get a cheap Arizona car insurance....
